How it's built

Engineered to the millimeter. Built for the court.

01 · Heel

11.3mm heel cup

Nearly twice the depth of a molded sports insole. It cups and centers the heel on every hard stop, pulling load off the plantar fascia at the exact moment it flares.

Side profile of the HeelBase Drive pickleball insole's contoured arch cradle

02 · Arch

16mm arch cradle

That raised side profile holds firm under lateral load, spreading pressure away from the fascia instead of letting it concentrate through long rallies.

03 · Airflow

Airflow every step

Court shoes trap heat. Drive's open lattice creates channels through the structure, helping heat and moisture escape through long sessions.

04 · Build

One piece. No glue line.

Supportive under the arch and more forgiving at the heel, printed as one single structure. No bonded layers means nothing can fall apart under repeated cuts.

05 · Hygiene

99% antibacterial

Back-to-back sessions mean sweat, damp socks and a gym bag. The antibacterial, antifungal material helps control odor-causing microbes.

06 · Eco

100% recyclable

One recyclable thermoplastic, with no bonded foam or glue. Built to last through a full season, then enter the right recycling stream.

    Comfortable for whole sessions

I play Tuesday and Thursday mornings and used to fade badly by the third game. Six weeks in and my legs feel pretty strong for 2 hours of continuous play.

The heel cup is the whole thing

I've tried four other insoles and they all went flat in the heel within a month. These 3D printed insoles seem to hold their shape entirely. Really impressed.

  3. Rebecca C.

    Field tester

Not noticiing them is a good thing

I couldn't tell the difference within the first 2 weeks, but then I realized very little arch pain any more. Will order another pair for my hubby.

  4. Simon R.

    Field tester

No more taping my foot before I play

I was taping every session, took me 10 mins. Stopped about 2 weeks into the test and have not gone back to it.

  5. John C.

    Field tester

Works, but needed a size smaller

No complaints about the support, it does what they say. The size I was given sat too long in my court shoes and I had to exchange them for the one size below. Lost me 1 week of testing.

  6. Kin LH.

    Field tester

    My knees stopped complaining

I didn't buy these for my knees, but weirdly it's where I noticed the difference. Just a lot more comfort around my legs in general.

  7. Thomas F.

    Field tester

Holds up to five days a week

I am retired and play most days. Used HeelBase Drive inserts solidly for 3 weeks - they feel great and they don't smell at all.

    Lateral moves feel locked in

The side to side is the biggest annoyance for me especially on my arches. These insoles do the trick and hold me feet really well.

What the research says

Clinical guidance supports foot orthoses as part of a broader approach, not as a standalone fix. The 2023 plantar fasciitis guideline recommends stretching and says foot orthoses may be used alongside other treatments to help reduce pain and improve function.

Frequently Asked Questions

HeelBase Drive questions

The answers buyers seek the most before choosing this insole.

Two things. Consistency, because every insole is printed to the same spec instead of molded and trimmed, so the arch and heel cup land in the same place every time. And structure, because the whole insole is one piece with no glue line between the firm arch shell and the softer heel pad, so there is nothing to shear apart under repeated lateral load.

Stronger lateral court movement

You play hard.Your feet take the load.

HeelBase insoles give your shoes the support pickleball actually demands.
